Seasonal Trail Conditions
Trail conditions are highly variable based on the time of the season and the amount of rain. Trails are commonly close by mid-winter and open by spring unless it is a dry winter. This area is primarily clay and will be very slippery and the soil sticky once saturated.
Early Winter / limited Season to Date Rain Fall:
Heavy rain (>1.0 in): Trails may be ready to ride within 4 days unless there are multiple events.
Moderate rain (0.25 to 0.75 in): Most trails can be ridden within 2 days.
Light Rain (<0.25 in): Most trails can be ridden within a day or day of the rain
Mid-Winter / Over 5 in of Season to Date Rainfall:
Heavy rain (>1.0 in): Trails typically take at least 1 week of no rain to dry out.
Moderate rain (0.25 to 0.75 in): Most trails can be ridden within 3 days.
Light Rain (<0.25 in): Most trails can be ridden within 2 days of rain
Multiple days of heavy, moderate, and light rain will significantly increase drying times.
Mid-Winter / Over 15 in of Season to Date Rainfall:
Trails will likely be un-ridable due to wet heavy clay.
